Our story
Where it all started
In 2016, a few friends came together to start The Percent Foundation. Those friends were Enzo Marchione, Dr Chris Watt and Tony Olding. The inspiration came initially from Muhammad Yunus and his founding of Grameen Bank and pioneering concepts of Microcredit and Microfinance ie loans issued to impoverished people (mainly women) that lacked collateral and knowledge to support a loan. Such loans supported entrepreneurship and empowered people. Yunus was awarded a noble peace prize in 2006 and subsequently provided the motivation for us to build a platform for giving.
Our mission
At the Percent Foundation, we deliver a platform that connects corporations with charities executing initiatives in medical research, children's education, and environmental sustainability. Through our partnerships, we enable outcomes that extend beyond financial contributions, supporting measurable impact and sustained engagement between the corporate sector andcharitable organizations.
